This used to be my motto and now it seems to be coming full circle. It’s easy to get led away from your dreams and desires, get caught up in the life of the world. Then it hits you that you’re at your bottom. You’re miserable where you are. That’s when you make changes. No matter what. You find a way to make it happen. Those excuses of “I’ll do it when…”, “When I have this, then I will pursue…” etc. will no longer be important. It won’t matter what others want you to do and what they tell you to do. You feel that fire within to do what you want. And you do it!

As you start to make changes, not everyone in your life will be supportive. After all, they’re the ones who know what’s best for you, right? (Uh, yeah. *sarcasm*) It’s also threatening in many ways because you’re forcing others to look at their own lives and forcing them to change to some degree. Becoming a new and different person changes interactions, who you want to hang out with, what you want to do. Those who care about you may be afraid they’ll be cast aside for this new life of yours–and maybe you will decide to move on. They also have a difficult time imagining what life would be like happy, fun and joyful. That life isn’t really possible and acceptable, is it?

It’s all about our choices and what we want to make of life. You’ll still have your lessons and ups and downs, but overall, you’ll be enjoying every minute of it. My greatest desire as I’m breathing my last days is having no regrets…living life as I most desired no matter what. What’s your motto?
